Is it possible to sell apparel online, at scale, profitably? We get asked this a lot. The answer is, yes! But there are a few caveats. One, it’s essential to have a unique brand voice, not just unique pieces. Two, it’s essential to be willing to invest in building up a paid program. Three, creative and messaging swing performance up to 10X+ in our experience, and top performers are not always those you would think.


When Everbrand first came to us, they were specifically unhappy with the current creatives representing their brand. We worked continually with their raw elements, and took a semi-provocative approach to imagery and videos. No this was not a sex-sells approach, quite the opposite. We made creatives with real girls doing real things. We also focused on the positive reviews in both the text and the videos.

Over 3 weeks time, we increased performance almost 2X which allowed us to scale budgets by 35%.

Free Spirit has built a tribe of users who interact with the brand for both the product and the overall vibe. We started refreshing creatives every 2 to 3 weeks with a very low spend and strict ROAS goals to remain profitable and viable.

Over the course of a year, we were able to 16X budgets while remaining profitable, and at times even increasing profitability above goals.
